fall hike

Two weeks ago we went up to Hillsdale with Greg & Bryte. We went on a crisp fall hike on Sunday. We climbed up Mt. Everett, which is in the South-West corner of MA.

On our way back to the car we walked past a pond and went to explore around it...

We came across some funny chopped trees that we soon realized were the work of busy beavers...

There was a whole beaver village! 5 "houses" total:

bowling!

On Saturday we went bowling in Great Barrington, MA because it was raining. I took some photos because I remember our bowling experience in Austria and how different it was. So I wanted to show all our Austrian friends what American bowling looks like. And, this particular bowling alley offers "cosmic bowling" in the evening, so the balls are crazy colors. We were not there for cosmic bowling this time, but we have gone in the past. They turn off the lights and just have color disco lights. It makes the bowling more difficult, but more fun for the kids.
